Non-Custodial Nature: Lightswap is a non-custodial service. We do not hold, custody, or control your Bitcoin, private keys, or exchange credentials. You retain full ownership and control of your digital assets at all times.
Lightswap partners with Stripe to provide a secure fiat-to-crypto onramp service. Through this service, you can purchase Bitcoin using payment methods including Apple Pay and Google Pay. Purchased Bitcoin is delivered directly to your non-custodial wallet.
We connect you to Stripe's crypto onramp service. You pay via card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay, and the Bitcoin is delivered directly to your non-custodial wallet. Lightswap never takes custody of your funds or your Bitcoin at any point in this process.
When purchasing Bitcoin using our fiat-to-crypto onramp service powered by Stripe, the following limits apply:
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding contracts to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.
You are responsible for compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction, including those related to cryptocurrency transactions, taxation, and financial services.

The fiat-to-crypto purchase service is not available for use by brokers, exchanges, money services businesses (MSBs), or high-volume institutional traders for commercial or resale purposes.

Restricted jurisdictions and additional compliance requirements are enforced by our payment processor, Stripe. Your ability to use the fiat-to-crypto purchase service is subject to Stripe's geographic restrictions and compliance checks.

No Financial Advice: The Service is a software tool only. We do not provide financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Any information provided through the Service is for informational purposes only and should not be construed as advice.
Third-Party Services: Lightswap integrates with third-party exchanges and wallets. We are not responsible for the actions, security, or policies of these third parties.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LIGHTSWAP INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US, IF ANY, IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Lightswap Inc., its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including legal fees, arising out of or related to your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights of another party.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. You may discontinue use of the Service at any time.
Upon termination, all rights and licenses granted to you will immediately cease, though provisions regarding limitations of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution shall survive.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.
