How it works

Four pieces.
One quiet money life.

Connect

Plug in UK and EU banks, brokerages, and crypto wallets in five minutes. Secured by Plaid and direct integrations. We never see your passwords.

Read

A one-minute morning briefing in plain English. What moved, what's due, what's drifting. No graphs to interpret.

Move

Top up savings, cover bills, rebalance portfolios — without opening seven apps. Approve in a sentence, settle in seconds.

Automate

Pay rent the day before it's due. Sweep idle cash when it crosses a threshold. Your money on a quiet schedule.

What you get

Four surfaces.
One quiet money life.

Snapshot

Your whole money life on one screen.

One glance, every account, every currency. Spent this month, what's left, where you are in the cycle. No menus, no log-ins, no chart to interpret — just the number that matters and how much runway is left.

Chat

Ask anything. In plain English. Français. Español. العربية.

"Send Jamie £40 for dinner." "Why was last week so expensive?" "Buy £100 of Bitcoin." Lightswap understands intent, shows you the maths, and waits for your tap before anything moves.

Nudges

Texts from a financially savvy friend.

Real-time observations, not alerts. We notice the patterns, the drift, the small wins — and tell you in a voice that doesn't sound like a bank. Cap them at three a day or turn them off entirely.

Automations

Coming soon

Set it once. Forget the rest.

Split your salary the day it lands. Buy a little Bitcoin every week and send it straight to your wallet. Move cash between accounts on a schedule you set — we route it, we never hold it.

Why we built it

Made for people,
not CFOs.

Most of us aren't bad with money — we're just busy. You earn well, you're broadly on top of things, but somewhere between the third bank account and the second pension and that brokerage you opened in 2021, your money started happening to you instead of with you.

Lightswap is the morning briefing we always wanted. One minute, plain English, across every account.

And when you do want to move money, you just say so. Type it like you'd text a friend. “Move £500 to savings.” “Send rent to Sarah.” It happens. Your bank still approves every payment — we just take the boring bit out of the middle.

"I check it once at breakfast and I'm done thinking about money for the day. Genuinely the first finance app I've kept past month two." Claire — 34, product designer, London

Private by design

The only people who see your accounts are you and your bank.

Your transactions never sit on our servers. We read them, write the Rundown, done.

Your bank logins never touch our servers.

When you connect a bank, you log in with your bank directly — we never see the username or password. What comes back to your phone is a token, stored encrypted on the device, that lets us fetch your transactions. Bank credentials stay on your device. The AI reads transactions, not logins. The token never leaves your phone, and it's never sent to an AI. No login, no password, no way for us to sign in as you.

The AI writes. It doesn't do.

The AI does two things: reads your transactions, writes them up in plain English. It doesn't move money. Payments still go through your bank's approval, every time.

We built it so we can't sell your data, even if we wanted to.

No ad networks. No resellers. We don't make money from your data — and we never will. That's the difference between a money app and a general-purpose AI tool with your bank account plugged into it.

Delete the app and your connections die with it. Full detail at lightswap.com/privacy

FAQ

Sensible questions, honest answers.

Who is Lightswap for?

Time-poor professionals in the UK and EU who use several accounts and want a daily, plain-English read on their money. Not advice. Not trading. Not budgeting in the spreadsheet sense.

Is my money safe?

We can't move your money. Anything you authorise goes through your bank's own approval, every time. Your connection to your bank is protected by your bank's own security. The limited data we do store is encrypted. Your logins and transaction history stay on your phone, never on our servers.

Does the AI move my money?

No. The AI's job in Lightswap is writing — your morning Rundown, nudges, the draft of a payment when you ask for one. The app itself is regular software, and payments go through your bank's normal approval flow. You see the amount and the recipient before anything moves.

The same goes for automations. "Every payday buy £200 of Bitcoin" is a rule the app runs, not a decision the AI makes — and your bank still signs off the transfer.

We were deliberate about this. Plenty of apps are racing to hand the AI the keys. We think the AI should write the note, not sign the cheque.

Which accounts work?

Over 7,000 banks, brokerages, and exchanges across the UK, EU, US, and crypto, through Plaid, Monzo, and our direct integrations. New connections every week.

What does it cost?

Free during the beta. After launch, a monthly fee. Whatever pricing ends up looking like, your data isn't for sale — that's the one rule we won't bend on.

Why "Lightswap"?

Originally we focused on moving money quickly between accounts — swapping cash where it does the most good. The product grew up; the name stuck.
